Lime Based Paints
Patine De Chaux is made from the “slimy” residue of pure slaked lime plus the addition of resins and marble. This product works as an interior or exterior paint. This can be burnished.
Veilcalce which translated “old lime” is made from harvesting the milky white liquid that gathers atop the slaked lime. This is simply a pure lime white wash paint popular in Europe . It is also available in a transparent version.
Peau De Peche which translates to “Peach Skin” is made by combining water, pure slaked lime, resins, true silk particles, micro glass beads. Its final effect is one of silk fabric. Versatility, high daily output, coverage, and superior aesthetic finish are its core properties.
Plaster Products
Grassello actually means “skimmed cream of lime.” Grassello is obtained by skimming off the “cream” of the aged slaked lime and adding Carrere “rounded” marble dust. This particular product has been in use since ancient times and will produce a luxurious finish with a transparent marble effect.
Marmorino starts with 100% pure lime based plaster with rounded Carrere marble sand added. The rounded marble allows the product to go on easily and to obtain a matchless rough or smooth stone effect.
Travertino starts with 100% prue lime based plaster with coarse marble sand added. The coarse sand is used to obtain a rough stone effect.
Stucco Terra is obtained by adding marble dust and other mineral components. The quantity of marble dust permits the product to obtain a translucent marble sheen when burnished. This application can be achieved in one coat.
Le Venetien is the most widely known Venetian Plaster which is a mix of pure slaked lime, natural pine and other resins as well as marble talc, kaolin, and titanium. This is an indoor product only and produces a polished marbleized effect when burnished or waxed. |
